SPONSORED: CABL Drafting 2019 Agenda

For more than 50 years, the Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL) has been an advocate for positive change at the state level, focusing on issues to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Louisiana. With a focus on state fiscal policies, governmental ethics, and improving education at all levels, CABL is an effective leader in promoting and enacting sound public policies in many areas.

Reforms and initiatives like the state "Rainy Day" Fund, the Millennium Trust Fund, creation of the community and technical college system, strong charter school laws, school accountability, higher academic standards, and high-quality public pre-k programs are all part of CABL's notable legacy.
Today, CABL remains heavily engaged in promoting and protecting critical education policies to help our citizens and build our workforce, while continuing to advocate for fiscal reforms that will make Louisiana more competitive. That work is the core of CABL's mission

CABL also operates Leadership Louisiana, a widely respected program that offers participants a better understanding of the challenges facing our state and the solutions that can help the state move forward. This year, the program is celebrating its 30th anniversary with special events geared to engage over 1,200 alumni from across the state.

Looking ahead to future goals, CABL will develop a nonpartisan agenda for the 2019 state elections, with a particular focus on establishing a forward-looking vision for Louisiana that sets meaningful goals to measure and encourage future progress. CABL continues its focus on the citizens of Louisiana and having a positive impact on Louisiana's business climate.
