SPONSORED: Robideaux Report To Be Held On April 12

Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux’s second annual parish-wide address, the Robideaux Report, will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Heymann Performing Arts Center. The community-wide event, presented by Community Foundation of Acadiana and through the generous support of businesses and individuals, is free to the public, offering the opportunity for all Lafayette Parish citizens to participate.

Robideaux will reflect on the events and activities in Lafayette Parish over the last 12 months, including an update on the cultural economy initiative, CREATE, and will discuss challenges in the community.

This year’s theme is “The Intersection of Culture and Technology,” and Robideaux will share his perspective on the opportunities that lie ahead as Lafayette Parish continues to build and diversify the local economy through the support of our authentic culture and growing technology industry. The Mayor-President will also unveil several new initiatives intended to make government more transparent, customer service-oriented and efficient.

Following the Year-in-Review presentation, attendees will enjoy a Showcase of Culture and Technology, celebrating the intersection of these important economic drivers in Lafayette Parish. Leading technology firms and local artisans will present their most innovative and impactful projects. There will be a memorable array of great food and beverages, sights, sounds and ideas, featuring the unique cultural and technological assets that make Lafayette Parish special.  There is no cost to attend either event.

The inaugural Robideaux Report, held in 2017, was a resounding success, bringing together citizens, business and civic leaders, and elected officials from across the parish. Attendees can expect another great event to celebrate successes and honestly addressing challenges ahead. All information on the Robideaux Report can be found at www.RobideauxReport.com.
